i feel even lonelier when i'm around people though. like at big parties. i get overwhelmed and retreat into myself so deeply and completely that sometimes it takes days for me to crawl back out.
in some ways i think hanging out with a phantom (do you mean a "fevercritter"= or what kind of phantom?) would be preferable to human company. i just cant deal with more CNS overload, and that seems to be a human-specific issue with me."offensive" is frequently but a synonym for "unusual"

first of all: hugs.
secondly: i don't know if it will help you, but i think you are actually dealing with a fevercritter. what you describe is something i have heard a lot in conversations recently!!! do these descriptions apply to your situation?- it doesn't just happen when you're alone, but also in crowds/groups of people - the faces/appearances turn away from you - you think you can hear a murmur, but you can't understand anything - as soon as you are sure that you are not imagining it, but that someone actually wants to make contact with you, the feeling disappears you always feel let down - if at least 3-4 of these apply, you are dealing with CAPTAIN COPIUM.
I hope it helps. arcuen
