@h8me I can't help you there unfortunately. BUT I'm pretty sure NIGHTCHILD will be back; if my experience with any of these shadows is something to go by, they never truly go away.

Maybe its seratonin depletion. Maybe its just those SAD neverendeing January gloomies. Or maybe not being able to tell if I'm awake even after I get out of bed (I think), and if I'm asleep even when I've crawled back under the covers and it IS actually dark outside the window is something else. Can you ingest Critters? Like, is there a substance they hide in? I feel like there is a boulder in my gut, and something scratching at my brain from the inside. I spent New Years by a lake, was there by myself and was online nonstop. I havent heard my voice in days, and now I feel like I am being turned inside out.
It could be ofc that I'm totally off the mark here, and this forum is not where I should be looking for answers but you seem like an openminded and well-informed bunch.
